This article focuses on;
Product Rules
Product rules apply to all financial calculations involving that product— unless changed by rule groups.
Any change made here subsequently affects the product everywhere it is used. So only amend this rule if you want the change to be universal.
To amend a product rule, click on 'Edit these rules in the product page'.
Once on the product page, here are actions you can take;
- Add, modify, and/or delete conditions.
- Add, modify, and/or delete actions.
- Toggle a product rule inactive.
Rule Groups
A rule group only applies to the term for which it was created and can override rules in a product if the rules are the same.
Let’s say an HP product rule is as follows: If the ‘Vehicle Terminal Age’ is 120 and the Finance Term is between 24 and 60, then the Customer Deposit as Percentage of Cash Price should be 30%.
Let’s say a rule group is added below stating: If the ‘Vehicle Terminal Age’ is 60 and the Finance Term is between 12 and 48, then the Customer Deposit as Percentage of Cash Price should be between 20% – 60%.
Then the product rule in this campaign is overridden by this rule group.
Imagine a house with central heating and adjustable radiators in each room. These adjustable radiators allow you to control the room's warmth when the heating is on.
Rule groups are like radiators, and terms are the rooms they regulate.
If you create multiple rule groups, LenderHub starts assigning priority. The first rule group you create is automatically assigned priority 1.
Priority tells the program which rule it should apply first, second, and so on. You can re-order rule groups using the arrowheads next to rule groups to move them higher or lower.
Actions you can take:
- Click on 'Create a new group' to create a rule group and add your terms and actions.
- Click on 'Duplicate group' to replicate a term and make further amendments.
- You can toggle a rule group active/ inactive or delete it entirely.
