Creating a promotion

Create a promotion to define the deal — the vehicles it applies to, any finance discount, and an optional offer banner shown on calculators, quotes, and emails.

Before you begin

You need at least one package set up before you can fully activate a promotion. A promotion without a package is not visible to customers. If you have not created a package yet, see Creating a package.

Add vehicles

  1. In your Point of Sale portal, navigate to Promotions.
  2. Click Create a new Promotion. The promotion form opens.
  3. In the Vehicles section, select a vehicle type from the Select Vehicle Type dropdown.
  4. Click Add Vehicle and search for the vehicles you want to include. Repeat for each vehicle.

Add a discount

  1. In the Discounts section, select a discount type from the Select Discount dropdown.
  2. Click Add Discount. Repeat to add more than one discount type.

Set restrictions

The Restrictions section links the promotion to a package, which controls the date range, finance products, and organisations it applies to.

  1. In the Restrictions section, find the package you want to use and click USE.
  2. If you have not created a package yet, click Create A New Package to set one up before continuing.

Add an offer banner

  1. In the Offer Banner section, tick Display offer banner.
  2. Enter a Display Title to set the text that appears on calculators, prints, and emails.
  1. When all sections are complete, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Promotion.
