Insights is a Codeweavers app that presents data from customer interactions in a user-friendly way. It helps identify trends and make informed decisions faster. For example, it can show how many customer interactions have happened, where customers dropped off, etc.
Request access to Insights via your account manager.
There are three ways of accessing the app.
- Log in directly to the app via this link: https://identity.codeweavers.net/en-gb/codeweavers/default/identity/app/insights/login
Log onto the Codeweavers platform, scroll down and select 'Insights'.
Within a Codeweavers app such as Showroom, you can switch to Insights using the app switcher in the top right corner. Click it and select 'Insights' from the options provided.
This guide will cover the following;
The Insights app can tell you several things, for example, which vehicles are the most popular or the average time spent on your website. It is easy to filter data from Insights, and reports are often available in CSV or PDF format to be downloaded.
Another way to describe Insights is as a Codeweavers equivalent of Google Analytics. It collects much of the same data, but with the added benefit of being available within the platform—meaning there isn’t a need to log out or open a new window to access your website’s data.
It doesn’t require you to set tags or paste codes, as Google Analytics would. Data points are automatically collected and presented when the app is enabled.
It might be helpful to broadly group Insights data as:
- Customer (or leads) and sales data.
- Website user data.
Customer (Or Leads) Data
Under this group, we could include 'Proposal Statistics', 'Calculation Statistics', and 'Reports'. This categorization is because they provide numbers, usually associated with purchases.
Website User Data
This pertains to ‘Web Analytics’, which concerns visitors' actions on your website. For example, how many pages users have viewed or how many submissions they’ve made.
Insights is not automatically enabled and cannot be enabled independently. Simply contact your account manager to have Insights enabled. It costs 10-20% of your monthly recurring revenue for three users to access the app.
Next up, types of data.
